I joined Pandora Bra Studio in February 1998 as the sole franchisee for the Western Cape. Initially I worked from home in Pinelands but in 2007, we moved to one of the new residential complexes in Century City, about 5 minutes' drive from the Canal Walk parking area. (We are not in Canal Walk shopping complex.)
I still work from home and have sample stock of about 460 bras - I don't keep all the colours or sizes of every style, but I can show and fit most of them; if a client wants something I don't have in stock, I order from my head office in Johannesburg (the importers) every Monday and, assuming they have the requested items in stock, I will receive it within 4 - 5 working days. For items that are out of stock, we will send all firm orders to the relevant suppliers. German product's waiting period is about 4 - 5 weeks, and American products will be a slightly longer wait.
I have really enjoyed working as a Pandora distributor. So many ladies hate bra-shopping ('as bad as going to the dentist'!) and it shouldn't be a 'bad' experience. It gives me enormous satisfaction when a lady arrives at the Studio, almost resigned to yet another unsuccessful search for comfort, and leaves knowing she has at last found what she's been looking for all these years - a well-fitting, supportive bra which she won't remove the minute she gets home!
For the past 12 years, I'm proud to say, I have received the Pandora Distributor of the Year Award, and this would not have been possible without the loyal support of a large amount of clients, many of whom have followed me from the Southern Suburbs to Century City - my grateful thanks to you all!
In February 2011 I will be celebrating my 13th Pandora birthday - we haven't decided yet on the form of celebration but it will be published soon - WATCH THIS SPACE! I look forward to welcoming you to the Studio to join in the fun. Please remember to phone for an appointment - if I don't know you are coming, security won't let you through the gate!
